Outagamie County, Wisconsin

Outagamie County is located in the heart of the Fox River Valley, in East Central Wisconsin and is a principal county of the Fox Cities Metropoltain Area.

The seat and largest city is Appleton, which is by far the largest of the Fox Cities.

It is named for the Meskwaki Native American Tribe word for "Shore Dwellers".

It borders Shawano, Brown, Calumet, Winnebago and Waupaca Counties.

Main Highways include I-41, US-45, WI-15, WI-441, WI-54, WI-47, WI-96 and WI-55.
